Cite Download Zinc and its alloys are among the most widely utilised metallic coatings for the sacrificial protection of steel. Although excellent in this mode of protection, these coatings are often less durable when subjected to environments of combined wear and corrosion due to their intrinsic relative softness and ductility. A possible and fast growing way of improving the durability of these coating is by the codeposition of inert particles into the zinc and zinc-alloy matrix.

Abstract Hard turning is the process of turning workpieces having a hardness greater than 45 HRC. It can be treated as pre-grinding operation as it gives surface finish about 0.
Abrasive Wear Resistance of Hardfacing Weld Deposits: Review
Wear is the damaging, gradual removal or deformation of material at solid surfaces. Causes of wear can be mechanical e. The study of wear and related processes is referred to as tribology. Wear in machine elements , together with other processes such as fatigue and creep , causes functional surfaces to degrade, eventually leading to material failure or loss of functionality.
Purpose of the Study: To comparatively evaluate the wear resistance of two different posterior indirect restorative materials against human enamel. Pin-on-disc wear testing machine was used to simulate the masticatory parameters and evaluation of the wear parameters was done after 1,20, cycles, with load of 40N for specific duration. Data related to wear testing procedure were tabulated and evaluated. Results were statistically analyzed using Mann—Whitney test and Wilcoxon signed rank test.
